The DSLR Road Map

My latest obsession over the last year and a half has been with DSLRs, with about a 40/60 split between still images and video capabilities. I started out with a Nikon D5000, but quickly moved to a T2i when it came out due to it's awesome video quality.  Here's a look at my past and near-future DSLR roadmap

Past
• Nikon D5000 with kit lens
• Nikon 35mm f/1.8 lens
• Sold Nikon D5000 & lenses
• Canon T2i with kit lens
• Canon 50 mm f/1.8 lens
• Canon 17-55 mm f/2.8 lens
• Sold 18-55mm kit lens

Planned
• Tascam DR07 MKII audio recorder
• DV Rebellion Do-it-yourself DSLR slider (scroll down on the page)
• Canon 50 mm f/1.4 lens (replacing f/1.8)
• Canon 5D Mark II successor (hopefully this will come out in 2011)
• Canon 24-70L f/2.8 (hopefully a new model with IS) (replacing 17-55)

On a related note I was looking back over all of my pictures and I think it's quite possible that the D5000 had slightly better image quality than the T2i, especially for skin tones.
